Google Zeitgeist
Google Zeitgeist is an invitation only conference to discuss ideas, issues and “the spirit of the times”. Convergence approached squareFACTOR to build a private social network for the 2007 Google Zeitgeist Conference. We created a system by which private invitation emails directed users to login and register at the Zeitgeist web site. Registration involved seamless integration with a third party registration system. Invited guests are able to browse Speaker profiles, view relevant media, create their own profile, and communicate with both speakers and other invited guests. Guests are encouraged to create a dialogue via the site, and continue the dialogue with other guests and speakers at the Conference. The site utilizes YouTube video content to promote relevant topics and a CMS to edit and add site information with ease.
We shaped the social networking, registration, invitation communication, and content management systems—and then some—to create a web site which truly reflects “the spirit of the times”.
